Omg you guys…it’s been like a month since I have blogged. YIKES.
I’d be lying if I told life didn’t get on top of me but I finally have time to sit down and crank out a post. I always forget how much I love writing blogs for you guys until I actually sit down and do it(yikes again).
Jesse just came back after a month of training so our routine was WILD. I tackled solo mama life for the first time and not to toot my own horn but I’m pretty proud of myself. There were lots of tears(mine and K’s), lots of coffee, and good quality time with my girl. K is currently going through some separation anxiety so that’s really (NOT) fun. Mamas- share your tips on surviving separation anxiety in your littles because I can’t even go to the kitchen to make my coffee without a meltdown.
I have been doing a lot more cooking which has been fun! I am obsessed with the Instant Pot and use it at least twice per week. I’ll be sharing my most successful and favorite recipes soon!
Working out has become a part of my night time routine. I lay K down and have a good workout sesh. for about 30 minutes to an hour. It’s a great way to sweat away the stress of the day.
I’ve been spending an obnoxious amount of time on Pinterest. I have been planning our dream home, thinking about remodeling a trailer(LMAO), and pinning my dream fall wardrobe in preparation for our trip home!
Of course, I have been having a great time with Kailani! Lots of Target trips, making new friends, she’s a great assistant when mama’s working, and time in the sunshine.
I won’t lie to you guys- it’s been a hard month. The military life is not for the weak. I never imagined all of the things I would feel during my first go at true solo motherhood(last time I went home to Oregon). I am proud of Kailani and I. She was patient with me as I figured it out and I gave myself lots of grace. Shoutout to all my milsos and milso/mamas. We’re all in this together babes.
