Nursing Friendly Fashion

Nursing Friendly Fashion

Breastfeeding has been one of the most rewarding experiences but boy does it have its days. I am not the kind of person who can just sit at home(and duh we need things like groceries and diapers) and breastfeeding in public has been on of my biggest struggles. I felt very self conscious at first, especially because my first real time(aka not in the car) was in a restaurant inside of a mall. I felt like everyone was looking at me despite my using a nursing cover. Fun fact: it is 100% legal in every state to nurse in public(why wouldn’t it be!?) but there is such a stigma around having your breasts out that many moms don’t do it out of fear. Being crammed in the car trying to feed a squirmy infant is one experience I can do without so I dress in nursing friendly clothes to make the process that much easier when the time comes.

Here are some of my favorite items and ways to style them!

Layering allows me to create some pretty cute looks that align with my usual style. Nursing tank tops are hard to wear just by themselves at least for me so using cute tops and cardigans to layer make them a little more my style.

Button up tops are a super easy way to achieve nursing friendly looks. Both of these tops are worn regularly over nursing bras for easy access to K’s food.
